Ladies and gentlemen, let us just pause our blogging for a moment and appreciate this man here. The man whom without his creativity, genius and all around imagination we would not have many of the series we enjoy.

I speak, of course, of one Shotaro Ishimori, the man who helped give birth to such series as Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Cyborg 009 and numerous others that we read and watch throughout our lives as fans.

So thank you, Ishimori-san, for giving us nerds, geeks, fanboys and fangirls something to obsess over for years to come.

I love this guy. His work got me interested in… well, fiction as a whole. I remember watching and loving Cyborg 009 and Kamen Rider when I was a kid. They were in Japanese so I had to get summaries from a friend who could speak Japanese, and even then I loved them so much. Now that I can get subs and understand for myself what’s going on, I still love them. I love the ideas, the worlds, the characters, the stories, the themes…Probably not a leap to say his work influenced my tastes in media as a whole. So thank you.

Seems I was wrong and took rumors above the truth, but this is great news, Japan’s Johnny Depp (as a news network called him once) may be available for a true Kuuga movie afterall.

I don’t think there’s any chance of a Kuuga movie, let alone Odagiri being in it… he’s a serious actor now. Toku is still a silly show for kids, remember. It’s nice to finally have some closure about the rumours, though. Odagiri will always be the Coolest Guy.

It is with great sadness that I must announce that DisneyXD will not be renewing Motorcity for a second season.

This has been such an amazing and rewarding project for all of us here at Titmouse work on, thanks in no small part to all of you.  I can’t begin to tell you how much having such awesome fans has ment to us.

I’m not really sure what else to say, so I’m just going to include the email that Chris P. sent out to the studio this morning:

I think we’ll at least get three, personally.

Considering that they’re introducing KR Beast so early in the show, I think that’s how it will have to go, especially if you compare it to other seasons that have done the same.  The two that come to mind the most for me are Kabuto (TheBee showed up pretty fast… like ep. 7?) and Kiva (granted you don’t have many riders, but IXA shows up early, and later on you get Saga…).  You can also consider Faiz/555 in this as well, though Kaixa showed up a little later than the others.

But this isn’t especially early for a secondary intro. Accel and Meteor both showed up during the early season movie and we knew about them before hand. This is about right.
